Taylor Swift is known to be someone who loves to give back to the community, so it’s no surprise that the pop music superstar chose to hang out with some hospitalized kids in one of her new neighborhoods.
Swift has been an occasional resident of Rhode Island since purchasing a home on Watch Hill, in the southwestern town of Westerly, last year.
Today (March 31st), she and her father decided to take a drive up Interstate 95 to Providence and visit with the doctors, nurses, and kids at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
According to a hospital spokesperson, Taylor and her dad were spending the weekend in the Ocean State and decided they’d like to come up to Hasbro and visit and perform with patients there.
The pop star’s five hour visit was kept quiet until afterwards, when Hasbro thanked Taylor for her time through social media.
“A huge THANK YOU to the amazingly sweet and talented Taylor Swift who visited Hasbro Children’s Hospital today! Taylor spent lots of time visiting with our young inpatients at the hospital today, and even played a song for the kids on our 6th floor med/psych unit,” the hospital posted on its Facebok page.
“It was such a special day for a lot of our kids, and we are so thankful to Taylor and her dad for choosing to spend their time with us and put smiles on so many faces!”
